Auction Policies

Bidding Process

• Bids are processed immediately in the order received.
• Tie bids go to the first submission based on the server clock.
• Each item has a minimum bid; starting bids must meet or exceed this.
• Proxy Bidding lets you set a maximum bid; the system raises your bid until your limit is reached
(proxy wins ties).

Bid Management

• You may increase your bid or Proxy any time before closing.
• Only one active bid per item is recognized at a time (new bid cancels prior proxy).
• The server clock is the final authority on closing times.

Winners & Payment

• The highest bid before closing wins.
• After the auction closes, winning bidders receive an invoice with final costs (bird price, shipping,
quarantine fees if any).
• Winning bidders are then notified and charged.
• Invalid or declined cards may result in cancellation, reassignment to the next bidder, or a $25
processing fee.

Shipping & Pickup

• Sellers ship within 3 days of payment unless delayed by weekends or weather.
• Buyers pay $60 for the first bird + $10 for each additional bird (per seller).
• International shipments may include extra quarantine or handling fees (provided by seller unless
otherwise specified).
• Sellers must use quality boxes, ship promptly, and include pedigrees/required docs.
• Shipping is arranged directly between buyer and seller. Every Second Counts is not responsible for transport logistics.

Seller Responsibilities

• Sellers must provide accurate details about themselves and their birds.
• The auctioneer may resolve disputes, cancel sales, or re-offer items at discretion.

Live & Online Auctions

• Items marked ‘Live and Online’ close during the live event, not at the online time displayed.
• Place proxy bids early—these items may close anytime on the specified date.

Bid Previews & Errors

• Before submission, a confirmation page shows your bid and Proxy.
• Mistaken bids can be corrected by contacting us, except in the final 3 hours before closing.

Offer Your Birds

• How It Works – Sellers must contact us directly; self-listing is not allowed.
• Simple Process – Send bird details, pedigrees, and photos; we create the listing for you.
• Reach Serious Buyers – Your birds are presented to a community of dedicated fanciers.
• Support – Our team guides you through every step.

Results

• We share final results from clubs and one loft races from around the world.
